The unit operated as the 913th TAG with the C-119 until September 1970, when its 327th TAS converted to C-130As. The 913th was assigned to the 403rd TAW from April 1971 until January 1976, when it transferred to the 459th TAW. The unit converted to the C-130E in January 1976. The group deployed to Thumrait, Oman for Desert Storm with assignment to the 1660th TAW (Provisional). The 913th was redesignated an Airlift Wing in October 1994.
